A complex mix of factors including physical problems and illness, personal resilience, the extent of support available and the challenges presented by the environment will all contribute towards the physical wellbeing of the individual. This element of the programme explores a number of the issues associated with keeping physically well. Outlines and suggested group discussion topics and activities for four sessions are included: eating well, pain, keeping physically active and managing physical health. Each offers participants the opportunity to explore the relationship between activity and physical well-being, to develop strategies to manage existing conditions and to adapt activities to enable continued participation.
